Question: Why are you offered a 5-year lease term 90% of the time?

Answer: Because 10% rate increases compound over 5 years - .05 per color print year 1? That's .073 per print in year 5.

Question: Why are you given a print "allowance" each month?

Answer: They'll tell you it's to cover their service cost basis. But in reality - if you don't use your allowance, it's free money, if you go over they'll bill you for each and every print past your "allowance".

Question: Why are you offered an "A3" device (Ledger 11" x 17" capable when you don't print larger than legal?

Answer: Most dealers have a revenue quota to attain with their manufacturer of choice. A3 devices cost significantly more than A4 (legal size max devices), helping them reach these quotas more easily.
